  • Hot-blooded, genius, troublesome...   Can't these guys translate such commonly used words (in reference to the series) into a better meaning?

  • Your favorite band sucks, and you have terrible taste in movies.

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>I don't like how they use the word "drop-out" either. How can you call someone a "drop-out" when they're still in school? "Slacker," or "failure," even "underachiever" would've worked better. I do find it funny, though, that the Japanese would use poor school performance as an insult and us Americans have a hard time finding a good English equivalent :)</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>Yeah, I can think of plenty of substitutes for a lot of these. Can you just use "boring" instead of troublesome? I guess with some of these words, they found some bad word to pick and they're forced to stick with it, because of constistency.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>I know. It's just that they do so well in translating complex ideals, and fall flat on such simple translations.</div>

<div style='font: 11pt arial; text-align: left; '>Yeah, I think the problem with a word like "troublesome" is that it doesn't *exactly* mean "boring" or "complicated" or "annoying"...the best would be to translate it into a phrase like "too much work", but then it might not fit in the subtitles</div>
