<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>No Joel Schumacher, for one. Darker tone. Maybe it will suck, but I think it has substantial promise.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>Honestly, I thought Michael Keaton was bad casting for the part. Keaton is Mr. Mom or maybe even Beetlejuice; he's not Batman. Now, Kilmer played the part well, as well as the rest of the cast, but the plot was subpar (Batman Forever).</div>

<div style='font: bold 9pt ; text-align: left; '>That's basically how I feel. It has awesome promise though anything can be screwed up nowadays. The darker tone is what I like.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Tahoma; text-align: left; '>To tell you the truth, Batman has always kind of weirded me out. I mean, kids parents get killed sometimes, but why does he flip out and decide to turn himself into a super hero to cope with it? Everyone else gets therapy and deals with the situation, Batman is kind of a bad role model.

Superman and Spiderman have powers, so them using them for good is understandable, but normal people deciding to go that route have major issues and i have a hard time rooting for people with mental problems.

Food for thought.</div>

<div style='font: bold 9pt ; text-align: left; '>That's what makes him Batman.

But he has his limits. He won't kill. There have been occasions where he has I think, but only under absolute necessity. He fights partly because I think he doesn't want others to go through what he went through with his parents being murdered.

Personally, he's one of my favorite heroes because he doesn't have any powers. He's just a man at peak physical and mental condition. In the comic, he actually gets to the point where he IS Batman and nothing else. Not even when he's "Bruce Wayne".

And yes, in the comic, I believe the whole training/samurai thing is accurate. He traveled in his younger years becoming so insanely skilled in pushing his physical abilities to the limits. He learned how to fight, how to react, how to be a detective, all of the things that make him Batman.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>I'm not looking for a role model. I'm looking for stories that are interesting, and Batman is an interesting character. Yeah, the guy's pretty messed up. Read The Dark Knight Returns for an interesting take on his character.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Tahoma; text-align: left; '>Thats true enough, not all super heroes need to be role models. I do like complex characters, like Achilles, i guess Batman just isnt all that interesting to me for some reason.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light", "Century Gothic"; text-align: left; '>Yes, that's about it. There was an episode in the cartoons where he travelled to Japan and met with his sensei. What? You thought he learned all of that combat by himself?</div>
