  • Aw, crap. Marvin looks retarded. I always imagined him as looking somewhat like Bender. On the upside, Alan Rickman is doing the voice.

  • Your favorite band sucks, and you have terrible taste in movies.

<div style='font: 10pt ; text-align: left; '>Wow...

I just saw Mos Def in "The Woodsman" (first time I've ever seen him) and I can see him being a good Ford Prefect. I don't know Sam Rockwell or Zooey Deschanel, and the guy that plays Arthur has no headshot, but in his one still shot he looks like an Arthur. I guess he was in Shaun of the Dead too? I don't remember his character though.

Other interesting stuff: Warwick Davis (Wicket from Return of the Jedi, Willow himself) is going to be doing the physical part for Marvin. And John Malkovich is going to have some kind of part in it...but there's no Humma Kavula in the book...I wonder if it was in the original screenplay?

I'm excited.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>I think all of the casting is good, but I still can't get over Marvin. He looks like a giant Pokemon. But it can still be a good movie. I hope it's successful, because I think that the other books would make much better movies.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Looks like they're tryin' too hard to make him look like a 60's robot, so much so that he's just deformed :-)</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Tahoma; text-align: left; '>Zaphod is supposed to have 2 heads... this movie will suck, it is the writing and non-dialogue that makes the books kick so much ass.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>That extra head isn't what made the books so good. The Hitckhiker's Guide has been in several mediums so far, and each time, it was different. The movies aren't the books. As long as it has the same intelligence, wit and playfullness, it doesn't matter if a character is missing a head, another looks like a giant Pokemon, or another has a different skin color than you were expecting.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>It surprised me too, because that's not how I imagined Ford when I read the books. But so what? Adams provides almost not physical description of Ford. If they think Mos Def is best fit for the role, then let's go with it.</div>
