<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Well if you think about it, doesn't the US have reality TV shows about police busting criminals? Cops I think one of them is called.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>Not really, firstly it sells, and secondly even without 1 in every 142 Americans in prison, due to the sheer size of the US there would be plenty enough crime to fill up an hour slot each day.</div>

Heck, even MS uses prison labor to package software...</div>

<div style='font: 11pt Dominion; text-align: left; '>I wish the death penalty was used more often than it is but I know how unpopular a lot of my beliefs are. Crime prevention is all about deterrance which in most cases is fear of prison. We need to increase the fear of doing a crime either by a) increasing the existing penalty (making prisons worse than they already are-- making prison an even more hostile and undesirable place to go to) or b) replace the more serious crimes with death sentences rather than life in jail-- pretty much bump everything up a level or two.

The fear of death is the #2 fear in America (#1 being public speaking actually...but my info may be a little old) and like I said-- crime prevention is all about making people too afraid of the ramifications to do them.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt "Cooper Black"; text-align: left; '>Stop being hortsighted. A user of drugs is obviously a buyer, hence he supported a crime ring of dealers and smugglers who not only blatently break the US's illegal substances laws but also commit numerous other illegal acts such as theft and murder, which are victimFULL crimes.
