<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>And I can tell you that there are extremely gifted and brilliant people there, even if they are outnumbered by the morons 1000-1. Don't discount the entire field just because the majority of those in it are morons, there still is a ton of credibility and positive research that goes on.

And as for Dr. Phil, at the very least, people listen to him. His greatest contribution is that he found a way for people to listen, to change their lives (I'm not saying that everyone on his show does, but some definetely do). And isn't that the point anyways? I've often told my fiancee that the only difference between what I say and what Dr. Phil say is that he has a degree and people assume he's right. But at the end of the day, a psychologist is supposed to help you, and he does....I don't....</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>There is a tendancy to over-presribe disorders and their respective medication in the medical field...and yes, doctors (GPs) are primarily to blame. Depression, for instance.

I wouldn't go quite so far as to claim ADHD doesn't exist, but I have seen first-hand that almost every instance is hardly distinguishable from bad behaviour with a marked history of unstructured and/or spoiled upbringing. There is zero evidence it is a disorder in itself and I'd be willing to bet that future research will show the few REAL cognitive difficulties will be linked to FAS or something similar where genetic and structural brain deficiencies result.

Frankly, I'd prefer to not have a generation of kids grow up, weened on needless medication...but hey, that's me.

<div style='font: 11pt "EngraversGothic BT", "Copperplate Gothic Light"; text-align: left; '>Depression is WAAAY overdiagnosed. I'm sure ADHD is too, but that doesn't mean it DOESN'T exist. That's just stupid. Certain people have certain chemical imbalances, which need medicine to correct. ADHD (whatever happened to ADD?) and depression are just a few.</div>
