Alright...I need everyone's opinion on IT salaries...

I just met with HR and the way she was talking, I will be offered the position in a QA Test Group to replace the girl who left. It's actually the test group I've been an intern with so I'm a perfect candidate considering I'm already trained, etc.

How are salaries looking for straight-out-of-college IT professionals? I talked to someone here and she said she would expect(depending on what title they hire me as) anywhere from $40k to $45k. I'm happy to accept those offers, personally. Where can I find the industry standard/average?</div>

However, I'd at least interview with other people unless you are totally in love with QA Testing with UPS...</div>

I just don't want to let the fact that I like it so much and that it's difficult to find a job at the moment cause me to accept something lower than I should be offered. I'm hoping to get into development in the future, and if I intend to pursue development here at UPS, getting into the test group is a gread foundational experience for that.</div>

I would defenitely accept. From what i hear in NoVa you need to lower your expectations, the range is probably 35-40 since there is so much supply over demand.</div>
