I'm interested. It's for the PS2 as well. The developers said that they're taking into account gamers' complaints about Lament of Innocence, and that this one will be more similar to Symphony of the Night.

I dont really know how they could do it for PS2, as many of the videos I saw showed them using the DS touchscreen to clear some obsticles.

Ah yes, yes I was. I read the quote "We're certainly looking into those things for the DS and PlayStation versions [of the new Castlevania]." and assumed that they were making the same game for both systems. Silly me.

But hey, at least two CV's are better than one.

Well, I guess I'm a conservative when it comes to the Castlevania series, my favourite one is still the NES Castlevania III. I didn't really like the N64 Castlevania's, but I liked Lament even less than those. Not to say there hasn't been bad 2D ones as well. None of them have really been bad games, but certainly substandard for the Castlevania series. I don't really know how it is possible to make the series into 3D, I think Konami needs a development party which is more experienced in the field to make the game for them. They should look into some North American or European developers who have been doing 3D games for 15 years. Nintendo successfully put together Retro Studios, and they did what was said to be the impossible. In my opinion, Nintendo didn't successfully convert the Mario series to 3D, at least not with Mario 64, but Mario Sunshine came a lot closer, just still not nearly close enough, maybe the rumored upcoming game will be able to do it. Sega did a very good job with some of the levels in the Sonic games; especially Sonic Heroes (despite how many people might disagree).

Whore!

I was very disappointed by LoI. I just want a sexy 2D console Castlevania that plays exactly like SotN. Still haven't gotten to try the post-Circle of the Moon GBA Castlevanias, and now I don't have a GBA. Can you still get GBA players that run though your Gamecube?

Yeah they are still around, and not exactly hard to get either. I have one, and it works really well. Or if you ever get a DS you can just play the other GBA Castlevanias on there ^_^

Too many Lament haters over here. Granted, the game was kinda short, but the replay value was pretty good, and I actually beat it, unlike Circle of the Moon.

I havent really had a problem beating any of the GBA Castlevania games. Like I said tho, I havent played Lament yet, so I will reserve judgement until I do.
