Hmm, I'm the first one this time. You guys are getting slow :-)
As expected, it was a wind-down episode. It much more about setting up the 3 year jump than anything else. I mean, did anyone really think Neji was dead? I thought they might get rid of Choji, but never Neji.
I was surprised to see Sasuke go to Orochimaru. I figured he'd be a rogue by the way he was acting at the end of 134. The way Kabuto reacted to him, he might still become one. It'll be interesting to see what happens with him in the jump now that he's using Orochimaru and Jiraya is going to properly train Naruto. They should both end up insanely powerful.
So, they actually set a timeline on the Akatsuki going after Naruto. Hmm, interesting. We all knew it was coming, but for them to actually say "we'll go after him in 3 years" was kind of strange. Will he have another "awakening" in 3 years? I'm curious as to why they're waiting. Also, since they're going after Orochimaru, is that Sasuke's opportunity to fight his bro? It wouldn't make sense to have it before the Kakashi-Itachi rematch, now that Itachi can't use the illusionary technique on him again, it'll be fun to see what he can really do.
The creator should be thinking of wrapping it up after the Akatsuki go after Naruto. I mean, they could have some cool arcs in between - and I'm sure they will - but that should be the climax arc. I know they're doing the Kakashi-Third flashback and the filler, so that should take about 15 eps total or so (can't be more than 8 eps each at most). I'm just curious if they'll do the Akatsuki going after Orochimaru before or during the hunt for Naruto. If before, should be a good number of eps. Say 20. Then they go after Naruto for the series-ending arc, which may be a Chuunin exam length one at 50. That puts them at 220 eps, which is about enough.
Of course, there will be offshoot series'. NOt sure about that, but I'll give them an honest shot.
