I'd be vaguely convinced if there was more information about the article. You know, for example, a listing of all the countries cited.

It's one thing to cite those figures and say HOLY SHIT BAD MEDICAL SYSTEM. Given that the handful of countries from the rankings actually cited have significantly lower populations than the US, it's hard to get much of a sense of anything from those death counts.

Still, there's just enough information given there to whip people into a lather, so I suppose the author succeeded at that.

Yeah, even though he is doc, I'd rather see the actual results of the study myself. But still, if he's anything close to being unbiased to his interpretation of the results, it's pretty disturbing

among 25 industrialized countries.

Among 29 countries,

The only figures they're giving are for the US, thus there is no context for the death numbers.

Summary of the article or no, it l have no real basis of comparison for the figures, I'm probably going to dismiss them as being blown out of proportion to fit this guy's stance.
