I still have about 3-4 weeks to catch up with. To think that I was intensely watching the episodes before that.

Crappy new filler series it looks like. They're trying to put Orochimaru in it and go back to the first ep to make it cool, but it comes off a little childish (the two brothers were sad). I like that they're kinda flushing out the Genins a bit more, but they're so constrained in what they can do (no actual change in the characters) that it really feels like crappy filler. I hope this ends soon.

The one before it was somewhat cool, but I hate the way they put in Orochi and Kabuto in there, but then go "Oh, wait, they're imposers" on the next episode. The filler is somewhat subpar, but it was much better than the "let's find out what Kakashi's face looks like" episode.

Oh yeah, it's WAAAY better than the other filler they had in eps 100-104. It's more up to par with the movie: OK adventures, but only enough to kill time 'til you get to the real stuff. And we've had enough already, give me the real stuff, dammit

Actualyl, about half of the Kakashi's face episode is manga ^_^ He did it as a little goofy special chapter.
