  • Finally, Romance of the Three Kingdoms on DS

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

- Koei announced they will release Sangokushi DS (Romance of Three Kingdoms DS) for Nintendo DS in Japan in September, for 5040 yen. The DS version will be based on Romance of Three Kingdoms III, with a number of new elements, such as WiFi battle, enhanced graphics, mini games, downloadable content and touch panel support.

This will definitely be a game to kill time with in the future. It's been a long time since I have played a Romance of the Three Kingdoms game. They are rather simple with no big production budgets, but I always found it relatively interesting and fun to play every now and then. I know it's also not an accurate record of history, but I do like to get to know some of the major players of that era, even if it is fictional.

3 was my favourite, by the time 4 came out I had already gone past the height of my Romance of the Three Kingdom phase. That's not to say I couldn't get majorly addicted again now that it is on handheld and a system very suited to those types of games. Now if only they'd put some Civ games on the DS, THEN I would be very happy.
