No spoilers here. That, however, was an awesome season premiere, and it looks like Season 2 is set to own just as much, if not more, than the first.

So damn good. They keep it up and I may even forgive Sci-Fi for cancelling Farscape...

I'll second that. Seems like things can only get better from here.

Btw, apparently Sci-Fi is going to be showing Firefly starting next week. I've never seen the series, but my interest is piqued now since I saw this kick-ass trailer for Serenity and heard it was based off of Firefly.

Firefly : Serenity :: Farscape : Peacekeeper Wars.

Very, very interesting screencap from last night's episode. Don't look before you've seen the episode.

Heh heh heh.

Ok, I'm getting the first season of Battlestar Galactica somehow and then I'm getting caught up. I really REALLY want to see this show.

Ok, what am I missing? I know what's going on in that screencap, but I don't get what warrants that particular part being circled.

Is the miniseries or season one out on DVD? I'd like to rent it. The NY Times had an interesting article on it, which I saw right after reading this thread. Sounds like something I should check out.

So either register or look up that title on Google (News or search).

The miniseries is on DVD, yes. Season 1 isn't out on DVD yet.

All of the computer bullshit really bothered me throughout the episode. I somewhat enjoyed it, but the whole main plot was incredibly weak. For example: Why the hell did they have to go back to the original place to plot where they were going? Couldn't they just refer to the previous orders they gave to the fleet for emergency jump locations? Even without that, they could have just figured out where to go from the location they were at. The whole "we gotta jump back" deal was just a cop out for an exciting storyline. Also, the idea that a simple networking of the computers was going to make it prone to a Cylon virus (which can be temporarily stopped with a makeshift set of firewalls) was also highly ridiculous.

Manshoon: The part being circled is the actual computers that the firewall was supposed to protect. In the episode, the virus areas turned red, so it looks like from the screencap that the virus already broke through.

So much for being vague about plot specifics.

Some of us have disabled custom background colors. An invisible tag that was smart about what the current background is would be useful.

Yeah, I know. I want to go ahead and do it, but between waiting for phpBB 3 to come out and having to do a bunch of bullshit to release a MOD, right now it seems more trouble than it's worth.
