You guys have been talking up this game forever, and I missed it when it came out...would you recommend this one? What can you tell me about it? I almost feel like taking on a new RPG is a life commitment these days, so I have to pick the ones I start carefully.

Very fun (well, so far). I am not that far in it, but I really enjoy playing it.

It's fun just running around talking to all of the people, learning the backstory and performing side-quests while you follow the normal story.

Mental, when I passed it to my roomate this past winter he ended up playing for 27 hours straight when he popped it in his Xbox.

It's really that engrossing, everything the new movies were not.

Xbox version or PC version or both?

My PC version hasn't had any bugs yet that I have noticed (though, again, I am not that far into it).

I've only played the PC version, but from what I heard, the Xbox one is worst.

I've encountered stuff like buff lasting until you change area, severe graphic glitches etc.

For one of the last few areas of the game, I had to disable every single graphical option, else I would always crash to the desktop after the event finishes.

I didn't experience too many awful/fatal bugs when I played it on Xbox - I think it might have crashed/frozen twice in the 80 or so hours I played it. Besides, it's not really a big deal if you save often (and to a different file every time) anyway.

It's totally worth it to play it, even with the bugs.

I have had no problems with the game for Xbox. I also enjoy the game and consider it the best on Xbox.

The PC port worked better than the XBox, as I understand it. Plus it came with the extra content you need XBox live to unlock on the console.

KOTOR is great. KOTOR2 was rushed out the door and in vaguely unfinished form, as I understand it. Never really had the urge to play the sequel.

The PC version was so buggy, I couldn't even leave the apartments until I got the patch.

I never had bugs with the first one on XBox. All of that waste to save the games on a seperate slot each time just because some stupid FAQ thought there were soooooo many bugs.

That being said, I think I stopped playing it about 3/4ths of the way through. The storyline was somewhat interesting, but it plays like every single other BioWare game I've played.
