It seems very inconsistent, but there are some parts that are just funny as hell, especially if you've played the games they reference.

I couldn't tell whether this one was tasteless, horrible, hilarious, or all three at once.

VG Cats is ok, imo. They're hit or miss with me. Some of their strips have me rolling, the others make me cringe because they're just badly done.

Better than some stuff though.

I liked that one, too. Knowing a few of the homeless guys in my neighborhood, I thought the "devil and angel" turned into "devil and clown" thing was particularly accurate. It would certainly explain a lot of the stuff I've seen the homeless guys do around my neighborhood...

I like, but it's one of those comics that I tend to read in chunks during class rather than every update.

That's one thing I never understood. If the Gerber grow up plan is supposed to be "protection for your child", how come they only give you money when the kid dies? What the hell kind of protection is that?

Is that a reply to me?

I was aware that it's one guy doing the strip. He does a pretty good job, but not always, imo.

Scott goes to school here in Waterloo, I run into him at a comic shop some times. The proprietor is pictured here, and yes I know the dumbass as well. This comic is 100% accurate.

To this day, said Proprietor (Jay) cannot stand that customer.

Wow! Ternaldo's in a bunch of the strips. Are they all based on the same guy in real life?

Not that there's a shortage of Magic- and Yu-Gi-Oh- playing teens who fit the stereotype to choose from. That was actually why I stopped playing, again - love the game, can't stand the people who play it.

Scott won't really say when pressed Mental. He says that Ternaldo's an amalgamation of a number of stupid people he's known.

And they do play Magic/Yugi-oh at the store. Jebus, those people scare me. Out of 20-30 people that show up, maybe 3 or 4 are pretty cool people. I know I have a very healthy 'Geek side', but most of these guys go wayyy over the line.

The thing about most Magic players that frightens me is that I've known very few who support themselves, have their own place, and don't spend allowances from their parents on cards. The ones around here that do support themselves are all right - if a little arrogant - my boss's roommate is about twenty-five, works as a programmer, and was invited to the Pro Tour last year, and he's a pretty neat guy - but I can't stand it when someone gets to be about twenty-two, twenty-three, and has no skillset to allow them to get a decent job and no plans or desire to get one. I've known at least four or five guys now that I used to be friends with that don't do anything except sit around and play Magic, and that's a big reason I'm not friends with them anymore.

Magic is a great game if it wasn't for the money factor.
