Right now, it's at $48.7 million. Second highest grossing documentary of all time. It's good, and I recommend everyone see it, but I don't know if it's that good. For some reason, it's really hit a cord with people and is hanging in steadily, making about $6 million a weekend for the last 4 or 5 weekends. I have no idea why, but I think it's 'cause it's actually a good family flick. Even beat out Valiant on it's opening weekend, Disney's newest CG (non-Pixar; Shrek producer) film, which I think is its only competition right now (Sky High is basically on its way out).

Will it beat out Farhenheit as the highest grossing docu of all time? It's gotta more than double it's take and at it's current pace, will have to hold on for another 10 weeks, which would be remarkable.

It's also penguins, which is a big draw for kids. How many times you been to the zoo and seen about 100 kids around the penguin area? If this was called March of the Baboons, I doubt that anyone would care.

I dunno. Kids like Baboons, but I agree that kids like Penquins more.
