  • Metroid Prime Hunters goes online, but delayed (+DS stuff)

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

Well, it was announced that the release of Metroid Prime Hunters has been delayed a few months. The reason for it, as announced, is so that online functions can be incorporated. What sort of features will be included can only be speculated at this point. Possibly a co-op mission, battle mode, online score charts, updates, etc... It all remains to be seen. By the movie samples the game looks to be the most action packed Metroid title to date.

Even with the delay of this title, in the next month there are still two must have games: Lunar: Dragon Song and Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. That's probably all I'll get though, especially since three more must haves, Mario Kart, Mario RPG Superstar Saga sequel, and Animal Crossing, are coming up just before the Holiday Season for the DS.

There are a few other games in the next month mix that look interesting, one called Shogun which is an RTS of sorts taking place in medieval Japan. There is also the survival game Lost in Blue, which looks to be fairly interesting as well.

Depending on the reviews, I might even pick up that lawyer/detective game by Capcom, Ace Wright. it could be interesting, but a good price would make it seem more interesting, I likely wouldn't pay more than 20 for it. The newest Rampage game is being released at 20 bucks, smart move =)

I am also considering The Sims 2 since EA has been saying that the DS version would have a lot of very unique features to it over the console versions of the title (Unlike the DS version of the Urbz which was essentially a port); IE, One feature is that the microphone comes into use for customization of various sounds, music, and other things within the game. The touch screen will allow for the easiest navigation yet seen in any Sims game.

I still have mixed feelings on Sonic Rush, I need more info, but Sega has rarely let me down in the software department.

Advance Wars DS, and Fire Emblem: the Sacred Stone are both must have titles. I just picked up the new Advance Wars Title, but I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be my favourite strategy title to date. The new Fire Emblem, I am about 20 hours into it (and over half my characters are dead, but those remaining are incredibly strong; I don't do resets on my first attempt through the game. I'll write more on it later when I am finished). Easily these two will go down as two of my favourite titles of all time.

Anyways, even though Prime Hunters was delayed, there are still a number of must have titles and a number of interesting looking titles as well. Mostly everything else looks like typical generic third party titles though.

It is defidnetly a big time for the DS. I need to get a new one, sadly. I had mine in my pocket and the top screen cracked 8^(

You can't just replace the screen?

I am not sure exactly what kind of damage. For $3.95 the upper screen can be replaced:

Yo M'k'n'zy - the exact same thing happened to mine, and I've got no idea why. First time anything Nintendo has produced has failed on me, and I punish my electronics mercilessly.
