FFXI adding Blue Mages (and apparently Geomancers too).

Tempting. Nowhere near what it'd take to resub, but temping nontheless. Always did have a soft spot for those two classes.

I was talking about Renkeis to a WoW player the other day, and suddenly, I really missed that type of complexity in a MMO.

same here. that game had depth to it.....yeah it was a grind like no other but it did have some pretty sweet levels of depth

ID be playing that fucking game if they didnt delete my toon.... Fuckers delete a lvl 65 paladin, that's a sure way to get people to rejoin.

The more complex something is, the easier it is to abstract the game down to a single path of least resistance. For example WoW can be said to be a somewhat complex game and the path of least resistance is having a script hit all those instant cast buttons for you instead of doing it yourself.
