I like the new higher scoring hockey. Less inches on goalie pads, tighter unis, and allowable two line passes has made it somewhat bearable to watch now.
The obstruction crackdown has had more of an affect than anything. The fact that they can't hinder the guy going after the puck when he doesn't have the puck is the vast majority of the difference. The goalies are getting used to the smaller pads and equipment, but it's the defensemen and back-checking forwards that have had the biggest adjustment. We're starting to see them get used to it now.
