Trace Memory and Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, both for the DS. I have played a few hours into Trace Memory, what an excellent game this has turned out to be so far. I would not have bought it on my own based on the reviews giving it only a "good" score and ranking it around 20th on the list of DS games. I am glad I got Trace Memory though, excellent title for those interested in Adventure games. Mario and Luigi I haven't touched yet, that will come after Trace Memory is finished.

I also got Final Fantasy 4 Advance which I will play later as well. No need to explain this one to a bunch of Final Fantasy fanatics =P (I also bought this game as a gift for someone else, I was considered keeping it myself, but I am glad I didn't =P)

I also got Civilization 4, again, I can either take this back for store credit or re-gift it and send it to someone else later on.

For DVDs I got Hercules Season 2, Family Guy Volumes 1, 2, and 3, and Startrek Voyager Season 7 (I already have 4, 5, and 6, and little interest in 1, 2 or 3).

On top of that I have enough booze to last me until next Christmas. Mostly wine, but also 4 bottles of Sambucca (This is what happens when (over the years) you get overly excited each time you do a shot and a lot of people pay attention).

For the first time ever, no one got me clothes, aside from a cool TinTin T-Shirt that my sister picked up in France.

Over Christmas I was in Honduras visiting a friend of mine, so it was a late gift day for me. We went to the beach once (it's about an hour drive from her house in San Pedro Sula). It was too hot for me, so I spent most of my time by the pool, though I did get out riding a few times. I went out to the clubs once with her and her older sister, and damn! I didn't know girls danced like that ANYWHERE in the world =P As far as Christmas went, they are certainly a much closer family than the one I have; I felt quite at home.

For my birthday and christmas i got some PSP stuff (1 gig mem card, GTA:LCS, and Mercury), some clothes (sweatpants and a sweatshirt which i did want and needed), a nice small portable gas grill, a bunch of gift cards to various places, and 'permission' to buy a Sirius car radio since everystore in a 20 miles radius of us are clean out of Sirius receivers (XM is fully available).

My family/friends has never been one to bombard me with a ton of gifts, everything i got is useful and i thoroughly enjoyed the holidays.

I got Family Guy Season 4, The Stewie Movie, Simpsons Season 7, Spiderman 1 & 2, a Palm Z22 PDA, a radio that has an Ipod dock built in, some tools, a nice shirt and sweater from my fiancee, a nice suitcase (mine suck), a nice tie from her sister, a bunch of gift cards (Home Depot, Best Buy, ThinkGeek.com, etc), a Metallica calendar, some dress socks, a pair of winter gloves.

Not too bad. :) It was all stuff I needed/wanted.

My Uncle gave me a really ugly shirt from Dick's Sporting Goods that I returned and bought a nice new pair of weight lifting gloves instead. And my Aunt gave me these 2 Batman Begins figures which were pretty dumb looking so I returned those and bought house stuff. :)

Shots and Ladders from my sister.

I bought myself the rest of my wearable computing setup, too!

That was the greatest bundle I've seen in years. Dear Lord, they gave you the game and an extra controller for the same price as the new system. And that's a game that only the pure Nintendo-haters won't like.

I got the Evil Dead Books of the Dead 1 and 2, Veronica Mars Season 1, Six Feet Season 4, three DS games (Advance Wars, Trauma Center, Lost in Blue), Seinfeld Seasons 1 and 2. Since no one knows what to get me (they don't know what I have or want) I was forced this year to buy all my own presents. It's good in that I can get much more for the money than my family and thus get more stuff but it fucking sucks as there's no surprise or anything. Kinda takes the spirit away. It's like buying something and just not being able to use it for a month.

Tell me about Lost in Blue and Trauma Center after you've played them a while, I am interested in buying those two games.

On a side note, I just got Ice T's Greatest Hits album. Overall great stuff, one of the best compilations I have ever heard. Yet I do miss the track Cop Killer that he did with Body Count. I can't believe I missed this one myself when it came out 4-5 years ago.

Highly recommended to anyone who is into classic rap.

The Mario Kart bundle was clearly better, Zeus. Come on. DOUBLE DASH.

As much as I love Double Dash, Party always gets played more due to it's wider appeal. I can't get my wife or neice to play Dash, but they're always playin' Party.

Also, did the Kart bundle come with the extra controller? If not, that's another reason to get the Party bundle. Also, the bundle came out the same time as Party 7 so even if you don't want it, you can (creatively) return it for $60 Cdn......

Got a bunch of GC and PS2 games that I bought myself and wrapped before X-mas. Shellie got me a Nintendo DC and the newest Castlevania. Got a "Keep Louisville Weird" sweatshirt.

Let's see...I got Kurt Vonnegut's latest book and a Go board from my gf, clothes, sneakers, an iron and an ironing board, sheets, and enough money to get a big-ass DVD storage rack and a 360 (which so far I've used to get a DS - I'm still shopping for the DVD rack, and I probably won't be able to find a 360 until March).

I keep forgetting me and Sera have the same B-day...

Anyway:

- Tires for my jeep
- DVD: House, Family Guy S04, Karate Kid Collection (heh)
- CD: Buddha Bar Vol 1-7
- $200 gc (clothing store) and a bottle of Belvedere from my sis
- Some Body Shop stuff from my lil, lil sis
- Misc cards w/ money
- A trip to Egypt (leave on the 10th)

Eh, I'm happy with it. First X-mas I haven't gotten anything game-related. Stupid 360 shortage.

Uh, socks was definitely one of my gifts. I also got a Sidney Crosby fitted hat and a 40 of corona. This is my question, why are socks always gift wrapped? Just throw the socks at me during Christmas, you don't need to wrap them. How am I suppose to be excited opening socks?

Socks are something we're almost always in need of =)

I go through what seems like 25-50 pairs in any given year.

I can blame my dogs for taking my socks and underwear outside all of the time.
