  • Going to make my own MUX...

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

...similar to a MUD - like an MMORPG, but text-based only.

They were really popular in the 90s, but Ultima Online, Everquest, and World of Warcraft have more or less made them historical curiosities.

However, they can still be fun. If anyone wants to check it out, I'll post the server info.

I really enjoy Utopia still. By the chance that you're not familiar with it, it's a text based Kingdom building and war simulation game. I look forward to see what sort of game you come up with.

If you manage to make it decent I'll play. What's the difference between a MUX and a MUD?

MUXes (standing for Multi-User eXperiences) are usually more freeform, more "talky", and give more power to the players to alter the game world.

Unfortunately, my codebase doesn't have native combat support...but I can add it!
