Currently I'm going with after defeating OPQRSTUVWXY, Z or L resurrected from dead takes care of Kira.

Part 99 was a new low, even for the relatively low standards DN has set up. I'm following it just to see how bad it can go, and whether it can beat Prince of Tennis in terms of bad (the recent 89-89 tie breaker with the winner being decided by whoever gets up first and say "I win" is tough to beat)

Keep in mind that M already knows who Kira is too, like N.

Wow...yeah...I am only at the end of volume 4, but it sounds like the series turns from excelent to terrible....damn.

Death Note is not about how smart everyone is. It's about how dumb everyone but Kira is. I think the author's ability is seriously lacking which is why you see L and M conveniently gotten rid of whenever the plot gets to an impasse.

The problem with DN is that it has really nothing in common with reality even though it allegedly operates on a realistic world with real judicial laws and real nations.
