  • I've decided I really, really like pot...

I've been high more days than not over the last four weeks, and goddamn if I haven't been pretty happy, even through some serious bullshit. Cost is an issue, but I almost feel like it's about the only one...well, I guess I have trouble getting motivated to clean my apartment too, but I hardly consider that a horrible quality-of-life factor.

It seems to really help me chill out, and since I've become very Type-A in the last year, I'm not sure that's a bad thing. Also, I used to have some serious mental health stuff, which has mostly gone, but I wonder if there really is some sort of chemical imbalance in my brain which makes me loopy and volatile...in any case, pot really, really seems to help with that. I only recently became aware of the fact that some people actually do feel that cannabis could be an effective medicine for treating mental illness, and I have to say I think there may be something to it.

Maybe I should think about the whole moving-to-Vancouver thing even more seriously...I mean, there are people who choose to make cannabis a regular part of their life and still pursue their hopes, goals, and dreams, and if I really did decide to make it a regular part of my life, I'd want to live someplace where the weed is good and penalties are as nonexistent as possible.

I think you have a very addictive personality, it used to be porn and now it is something else.

There's a difference between using a drug to stabilize your brain chemistry and using a drug to avoid your problems because you're not sober enough to care or think properly.

Oh, the condemnation...I surely will change my lifestyle and ways from this point forward. Bless you both for saving me from a future of addiction and homelessness.

God saves! :)

If you don't want people to comment on your lifestyle, then don't talk about it in a place set up explicity for discussion.

I'm not trying to be an ass here, but what exactly are you trying to accomplish by posting this? You KNOW how some people here feel about pot and the amount you do it. If you came to me, ran this post by me first, I could have guessed some responses pretty accurately.

I don't mind if you comment on my lifestyle, but you have to be ready for me to comment on your comments in return. Fair is fair, after all.

Yeah, I would chalk it up to additive personality. Everybody has it to some degree, though.

Pot addiction seems to me that it is more of a habit. Some people have a very hard time breaking habits. Cigarettes are both chemical addictions and habits. It has been suggested that big lifestyle changes are good ways to break habits like these.
