It'll be interesting to see how people react to the Wii. I've stated all along that I'm not so sure that what they're trying to do will work and it's all dependant on people actually trying the system. E3 will be the first time the masses will actually be able to play with it and it'll be interesting to see if they care.
If I don't hear a price-point from Sony, I'd be concerned. There's basically no reason for them not to unless they know it's not going to help. Anything over $399 hurts them, so if we don't hear a price, you know it's going to be over that. Either that or they're realize that have to just eat it and put it at that price anyways. That and the controller, which no one's even seen since the original photos. I wonder if they decided, like everyone else, that the Batarang was stupid.
Microshaft should be announcing something to combat Sony (Nintendo isn't really on their radar), so that'll be interesting as well. They'll have the free Xbox Live Gold weekend the weekend of the 12th and I think that they'll have to eventually have it free, period, once Sony and Nintendo come out with their free online gaming. That might be their big announcement now, who knows. But they make a ton of money and Live is such a huge success that they'll only do it if they have to IMO.
I was there on that fateful day, were you?
