I just watched the Kingdom Hearts II opening movie again (actually, technically it should be again and again and again and etc., you get the idea), and it has not failed once yet to bring tears to my eyes if I'm really attempting to appreciate it.

I'm about halfway through the game right now. Been really taking my time with it...and probably actually enjoying it more that way. It's so cool.

You'll like the ending, then.

I FINALLY got the soundtrack.

I think Dance to the Death is the single most awesome battle theme music I've ever heard. If I could put it on for every fight I would.

Oh and I beat the game too. Yay!

According to the ending I have 86% of Jimney's Journal done. But that probley means I have to go back and do alot of the crappy stuff too like throwing 30 posters on the wall in 30 seconds, which is just impossible in my eyes. Soooooooo gonna go look for a download of the KH2 secret ending. Either that or replay it on Proud Mode. I WONDER WHICH WOULD BE FASTER heh.

My friend has been trying to complete the journal. I'd say it's faster to beat the game again on Proud mode. :)

Okay...wait...you mean to tell me that, since I played ON Proud Mode from the start....and I want to get the secret ending first try...I DON'T HAVE TO GET ALL OF THESE DAMN MICKEY EARS TO SEE THE SECRET ENDING!?!?!?!?

Oooooo!!!! Do I get anything even extra special-licious if I do? :D

 #97998  by Lox

The thing you get that is extra-special is all that leftover time from not having to fill in the journal. :)

Okay, so, the fact that I was sure I'd have to anyway and have it about 80% done so far, including replaying some of the goddamned Atlantica levels that burn your brain out through your ears, turns out to not be relevant whatsoever.

Is that what you're saying?

Excuse me for a moment, please.

If you're on Proud mode, I believe the only requirement for the extra ending is to connect all of the worlds. I wish I was playing on Proud now!

What sort of sucks is that I love the game so much and have so much of the journal done already that I'm most likely going to complete the bloody thing anyway.

Actually the posters arent that hard if you have level 3 glide and level 3 air jump. Here is what you do.

1) Go straight to the building to your left and hit all the poster spots there.
2) Glide across the way and hit the spot on the small awning in the corner, leave the two on the opposite wall
3) Hit the 3 poster spots next to the awning
4) drop down and hit the one by the ground
5) Glide forward and down the stairs, you will see three poster spots on the wall
6) Go straight across from the ones you just hit and poster your way up to the top of the buildings
7)Get the one poster spot on top of the awning
8) Drop down without grabbing the awning and the 3 you still need should be down there.

For the junk sweeper, equip Fenrir (gained from beating sephiroth) equip negitive combo, and take off all your combo boosts and it becomes easy, I did it in 5 sweings

As for the point scores in Olympus, for Titan, Goddess of Fate, and Hades, use the Stitch summon. His Ohana! limit makes them drop point orbs instead of HP orbs

For Cerberus, Use Magnega, as you get bonus points for killing enemys at the same time. Going into Final Form causes Magnega to hit multiple times.

Pain and Panic, just up to you as you cant use summon, Magnega works but usually you can get it just fighting your way through.

As far as getting the hidden ending on Proud Mode, you just have to unlock the keyhole at the end of every world.

Holy BALLS, the journal is rough to complete. I still think out of sheer masochism I may do it before I beat the game anyway.

But for those of you wondering...yes...it's a LOT easier to unlock the ending just via replaying Proud Mode. Proud Mode isn't that hard.

Now, beating the secret stuff that way is another story - Sephiroth is a train wreck - but you don't *have* to do it...

Alternately...

And, completing the synthesis collection lists? Where does that fall into "not as bad as it seems"?

Unless you've done a majority of the stuff already, finishing the journal vs. just beating it again on Proud Mode is utter masochism...

Finally went ahead and beat it. Apparently I have the journal 98% complete, but the last 2% is the bitch - the Paradox Battles, the 30-second poster madness (meaning I have to level up all my forms to get Glide and etc.), finishing out the synthesis lists, and Sephiroth.

The secret ending is mega short, but it's pretty impressive...I'd say it's worth beating Proud Mode for, but don't finish up the journal unless you really want to anyway. That's just sin, right there.

And, as far as my feelings on the game go...

Leveling up the forms isnt that bad. I can tell you exactly where to go to do each one

Valor/Final - the narrow stairwell in The World that Never Was - lots of nobodies there which Final needs, and Valor only needs to hit to earn xp

Wisdom - Radient Garden crystal valley. Lots of Heartless, and most of em drop drive orbs which help you to last longer

Master - The Land of Dragons - summit - destroy the explosives and carts to get the needed drive orbs.

Summon - easy it just gains a point of xp for every bar of the meter that gets used. Just stand on a save point and right before your summon meter runs out go back to the world map and come back.

As for getting the scores needed for the paradox battles, I gave advice for those above.

I still have to *get* Final Form. Been wondering how I missed it, but feel free to spoil it for me if you like...I probably have better things to do than sit around wondering where/how it comes in.

I know it's random after you open "The World that Never Was". You'll just turn into it one time while using one of the other forms and from that point on it's a choice.

Yup, just keep transforming. Its probally more likely to happen if you transform to Master Form.

Well, regardless, finishing the journal is sin itself. Penny Arcade even has a strip about it up today. It's faster just to beat it over again on Proud.

It's not taking me all that long now that I'm doing it, either, Mac...all my Drive Forms are powered up to Level 2 Growth abilities, except Final, but I have unlocked that now...but I probably had about 80% of the journal done the first time I beat the game. Also, finishing out the item collections for synthesis is bitchy unless (like me) you just absolutely love the combat in the game anyway.

Also, you and I have been playing Squeenix games for YEARS.

For people who haven't powergamed their way through the entire thing...it gonza take a WHILE.

Oh yeah be ready, for Paradox Hades Cup 2nd to last round you have to fight Cloud, Tifa, Yuffie, and Leon all at once with no party, summons, or drive, plus they are all at level 99

Just as an FYI, Mac, I couldn't make heads or tails of this list.

I did have an alternate route that I did, and I only had Level 2 Aerial Jump and Level 2 High Jump. Level 3 Glide is definitely required, though, I'd say.

It's definitely possible with my set of abilities, but I would not not not recommend it at all. (Yes, thank you Squeenix, fuck you, I'd like that hour and a half back...)

I think Poster Duty is basically Square Enix's way of saying "Fuck you guys, we put a lot into this game, now you put just as much in as we did if you want to have everything complete, muhuhuhuhahaha."

Poster duty is nothing compared to the Hades Cup. That is harder than hell
