Final Fantasy 13

Well, it seems there are going to be three Final Fantasy 13 titles. A video was shown, personally, I wasn't really impressed with what they had to reveal. It seems as though the game is very very early in development. There is a video out for it right now, but it is all pre-rendered. Why am I not impressed? The story description, they essentially just said that it will take place in a world far more technologically advanced than anything before, and features a group of people who are "resisting the world"

I am not quite sure what this means, but it sounds like a poor description of cheap version of Xenosaga to me (everything from three titles to ultra technologically advanced) =P

I suppose Square will have something more for us by Christmas though, I totally expect they'll release something impressive in the not so distant future. This E3 presentation for Final Fantasy 13 really blew though.

What do they mean by "three Final Fantasy 13 titles"?

They're releasing a compilation. Three different games, same universe, stories are not directly linked and will focus on different characters. I guess sort of similar to Final Fantasy X and X-2, or Final Fantasy 7 and Dirge of Cerberus.

The setting looks really lame though, it seems like a lot of people across different messageboards are agreeing.

It better not cost as much as 3 games or I won't be buying it!

I'll withhold judgment until I hear more about the story. Heck, I haven't even played FF12 yet and we're already talking about FF13.

One is the RPG, another is apparently an action title (ala FF7:DoC), and the third is for mobile phones.
