Lets just say I went into it expecting a fun action movie that was probably going to be better than the second one. What I got was something SO much better than what I expected.

Essentially without giving away too much: expect a plot that just keeps getting better and better. DO NOT read any details of the plot before the movie, it's like Fightclub and the first Mission Impossible in the way that there are surprise twists that can only really be appreciated if you watch the movie for it. The plot was very well executed. The characters were all excellent as well, all quite memorable: Ving Rhames is in this one as well, and as usual, did a very good job, he had a larger role in this one than the previous two. Of all the new actors, the most well known is Laurence "Morphues" Fishburne.

Anyways, I think this is probably the most enjoyable entertaining movie I have seen at the theatres in years: Certainly beats Starwars Episode III. Unless there is something I am forgetting? I don't think so.

I'm sorry, I really didn't like this film. I don't know why, I guess I was influenced by all the fanfair surrounding TomKat that now I don't think I'll be able to take him seriously in a film role from here on out. I don't know what it is or why it is but something about it bugs me.

The movie, I had higher expectations for it. To me it just wasn't as good as I thought it could have been. I was just disappointed I guess.

I enjoyed it. Number 2 is still my favorite.

It was alright. I was forced into watch it because I wanted to see a decent movie in the early afternoon, and Silent Hill was in the last night-only phase in the theatre. I thought the suspension-of-disbelief was rather high. It was decent, but I liked Silent Hill a lot better.

I went in with low expectations and went out realizing that they weren't low enough.

Heh, you're just reinforcing my "it's only worth a freebie if the paint has finished peeling" stance on this film :-)

The movie is fairly good actually. It's not excellent, but it is one of the best films out in the past 6 months or so. This board is the only place where I have actually heard any negativity about the film. But this board generally hates all movies, so I am not surprised =P

It was a decent popcorn movie. I liked it better than II, but it's nowhere near the first one.

The first one was indeed the best. It was a classic; in my opinion. Great directing, and at least one iconic scene.
