<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>It isn't all that great, but at least if you do auto elements it forces you to be creative. Of course you can just buy 20 Healing Wind/Heal Alls and make every battle in the game trivial, minus the ones that can instantly kill you from full health (Dark Serge)</div>
call me crazy, but i did like the lame jokes, and he had very good animation for a SNES game...

<div style='font: 10pt Tahoma; text-align: left; '>Also, he reminded me of my own characters; i.e. starting out as a wuss but always seeking/killing for eventual ultimate power. Not a lot of enemies level as you level, they just are always easy at the beginning and hard at the end with no explanation as to how they got so much more powerful. Kefka's actions and characterizations did have a knack for enraging the player, by the end you WANTED to kill him, which is hard to say for a lot of video game enemies (Lavos and Yu Yevon anyone?).
In addition, the last fight against him was spectacular for the SNES. The random chosen order made things interesting, as did the die once and your dead/replaced rule. The music was great and as you made your way up the totem the echo effect got better and better which made spells like white and meteor sound awesome. Even your own attacks like the atma weapon and Blitz sounded sweet with the echo. Kefka also had a few inetersting 'his spell only' kind of spells that were cool to see. Hell, even his angel looking form was cool to look at.
Dont forget his laugh... you know that even if you heard it now you;d resognize it as the Kefka laugh. Seph comes close, but other than him there is no other last boss that comes close to being as memorable as Kefka.</div>
