To update Japan, sales are amazing right now, selling 600K and 400K in the last two weeks (despite the system being sold out by the end of December). Up to 5.7 million units total.

Here are software sales for the most recent week:

- Here are the Top 10 Japanese console games for the week of Dec 26, 2005 to Jan 1, 2006. Nintendo dominated the chart with 6 NDS titles.

Well Nintendo is the chief developer on the DS and I'm only interested in DS sales right now, sorry. Someone else can post other sales if they want.

Look at the Console Charts tab on the left sidebar. In Japan, they have updated sales data weekly for free. In the US, you have to pay NPD for the data and it's isn't even as comprehensive. So you're basically waiting for the sites to put up the data

In 2005, the Japanese market was dominated by the DS, which is what Seek was referring to. Sold almost as much as the PSP and PS2 combined. Mind you, one of those is at the end of its cycle..
