Heh, how's it going? Good to have an old regular back in the gig.

Did you want your old nick back, or at least your "# of posts"? It seems so absurd to have the great "G-Man Joe" with only 1 post.

Things have been stunningly boring without you, G-man.

...Ok, that's a lie. Flip got stalked by a crazy compulsive gambler, I went on at least fifteen separate "emo" rampages (read: bitchfeuds with other Shrine members, including kali at least three or four times), Barret got and lost a hot Japanese girlfriend, and we called Ish gay at least five thousand times.

Eric gave us the firsthand from Katrina. Tort bounced. Kup got his Ph.D. in C.S. and made us all look bad. Seeker stayed on Nintendo's nuts. Zeus nearly slashed his wrists over Michael Bay's Transformers (and for the final word on that, Zeus, click here - last panel). And somehow kali got made an admin.

So actually things have been pretty eventful. But it's still good to have you back!

Thanks for the welcome home party, guys.

As of now...I'm literally at another person's house fixing their computer. And I just finished connecting to the net, obviously. I'm using the tows.cc as the "test". Heheh!

Anyway....I have to leave. It's 11:30 and they have to get to bed and my wife waiting for me. I have to erase the History from their IE.

I'll be back to chat more. Promise.

See you in an hour.

Mental is Nev
Derithian is Chris.

Okay...anyway, I came back coz of Kali. I hope he doesn't say how exactly.

Man...I'm tired. Been workin all day. I'll have to bring you guys up to date about my short vacation away from here. Not much has happened.

I'm still a bit nutty. Even my co-worker noted that I never quite "grew up" nor aged much.

Let me guess - a little pillow talk after some hot love making? Though I'm disgusted in many ways, you should not feel ashamed to come out of the closet with him. I happen to think you two make a cute couple, truth be told.

FINALLY, I'm not the old man of the bunch anymore!

Sine, get this man his original name and history back, it's just not the same seein' "Joe". I'm sure he's gotta have an avatar and some smart-ass quote somewhere :-)

G-Man, I need ya, man. I need some sense of wisdom to put these kids in line. I feel like a geezer on an island constantly tellin' these guys "no, kiddies, you've got it all wrong"; I need some support. Can you believe these babies actually took the soothers out of their mouths long enough to scream and ostracize me for daring to say a single bad word about the development of a Michael Bay film (nice comic BTW, Nev :-)? Mind you, we're talking about development not opinion of final film; I've never given them my opinion on it.....

You can't leave me hangin' anymore, man. We group hommies gotta keep togetha my brotha!

In your stead I've kept the Ish-Lotus love relationship in the forefront lest we forget (look at Ish tryin' to deflect some of that in his post above :-). Gotta make sure the kiddies know what's really goin' on :-)Sine has been away a lot in the last year for work commitment but is as firey as ever so it'll be nice to see you and him go at it some more, particularly with your hard-line Conservative vs his hard-line Liberal alignments (you HAVE to tell us what you think about Dubya's current status, BTW). And Seek's been, well, Seek, although is arguments have much stronger merits to them than before. Can't dismiss them so easily anymore :-) And I've been, well, myself, for what that's worth. Still pushing for Sine to switch us back to the old, superior board but, as is the norm with any of my entertainment choices, it appears that I go this route alone here. Basically, other than Nev becoming maybe the most active regular, not much has changed in the year and a half or two years you've been gone (it has been that long, yes?).

Nice to have you back, old man ;-)

Hey Zeus....

You got me wrong about the hard line conservative. Sine berated me for being a Moderate Republican. But Sine was a tween-ager then.

As for Dubya, I'd be lieing to you if I said I'm satisfied with the war in Iraq. I'm fine with the war in Afghanistan...the world seems to think it's justified but with Iraq....well....

I don't want to talk politics anymore. THat's why I left in the first place. But that should be enough for you to know my opinion of Bush Jr.

As for movies, I can talk movies. I've been dabbling in film making myself. I've got the imagination for the shots, the stories, the lighting....I just don't have the money or equipment and the technical backgrounds to really get into it.

And I've also thought about becoming a chef. Yeah. I cook. Hehe! Pretty damn well too. I guess art is in my blood. Now now...hear me out. Cooking can be artistic. They don't call these schools "Culinary Arts" for nuthin'.

I used to be into sketching and painting until I my art teacher basically failed me as a teacher. That bastard used my art work as examples but failed to grade them. The idiot failed me for the semester. I quit art school in protest. I don't think I mentioned that here...it was quite personal, I guess. Hating the very thing I loved to do.

So.....I just kept working and got no where.

My wife went back to college to try and get her Pharmacy degree. I'm the sole bread winner and things have been tight while she goes to college. When she's finished, it's MY turn to go back to college and be either a chef or film maker.

So I'm in limbo here at the moment. I work at the same farkin' help desk you all remember from over a decade ago. It's pathetic really. But now I know what I want...just have to decide which one.

I'll try to post some more....but not as much as before. Still a little ashamed about burning that bridge three years ago.

It might feel that way at the moment, but as long as you are working towards something you should at least know that you will not be stuck where you are forever. I have worked in my share of kitchens to pay for my university and I must strongly recommend that you do not enter that industry (even with your accredited chefdom). As long as you yourself do not own the restaurant, you will be a slave to the people who own the means of production and they will keep you from ever really being creative. Although this simply comes from my experience and all of the people whom I have ever worked with, it may not be a proper representation of the entire industry.

Yeah, G-Man, you SHOULD be ashamed....particularly considering the cold reception you received since you came back.....seriously, man, it's not an issue and no one is gonna hold it against anyone. Man, if we held grudges here we'd all have left many years ago....and Seek and Sine probably would been murdered in the process ;-)

I'd love to do movies myself but life took over. Can't afford to give up my gravy train. I'm a CA now (got it last year; the Canadian equivalent to Flip's CPA) so it's a lot for me to give up on a risky business.

A friend is actually a programmer for Warppipe so I'm trying to get into making games with him. A bit on hold now due to his insanely busy schedule. We've got the idea mapped out and he's started to work on an XBLA engine and I'm waiting on that to be finished so we can create a basic build of the game. It's a fun hobby I'd love to spend more time on but alas, it's not under my control.

I luvs cookin'. It's freakin' hard to cook well (my mom's an amazing cook) and I have a lot of respect for those who are very good at it. Heck, I'll still put it on Iron Chef (Japan) if I see it.

Once the woman gets her pharmacy degree you guys should be good. It's hard when it's like that, with one in a mediocre job and another in school. I don't know if my wife and I woulda been able to do it if we weren't livin' at my momma's. It was definitely worth it though as we're both doin' good now.
