my girlfriend has suggested that the letters might just be coming from the in-game "mom" character, and that the child is an idiot. Also, I have no heart.

Haha, that would be funny. "Depressed kid replaces real mom with in-game character on Animal Crossing."

That's almost as offensive as the The John McCain Experience.
