I think I'll wait to get one of these. My silver 2000 was attacked by an errant jug of laundry detergent. The PSP survived being doused in President's Choice Icy Fresh Ultra detergent, but the impact left the screen shattered on the inside and unable to display anything.

Apparently the battery life is reduced by 20-30 minutes do to the XTREME screen brightness.

dammit! But anyways, I don't understand why they keep making the system make things look prettier, but reduce your ability to play games. None of the enhancements are big enough to upgrade to, so it only seems like they're just trying to get more people into the fold (good idea!). They should have gone the nintendo route and just made an ass-ugly system to start out with, and then make it looks prettier with the mild enhancements. I'm already on my 3rd DS, and there was nothing wrong with the ones I had before..... I just wanted the COOLER one.

No, I'm sorry. I disagree. I think Nintendo abused their monopoly on the Gameboy and gave us butt fucking ugly ass green screen bullshit for WAAAAAAAAAY too long!

Ten years! Ten fucking years! The only reason why they bothered with the GBC was because the competition was starting to catch on, and they figured they should spend some money to swat those flies.

And then we had to wait FIVE years for them to properly put in a backlit interface!
