I was praising Rise of the Ninja last year quite a bit as I thought it was a great game that wasn't just a straight fighter. Really great for fans of the anime. It covered episodes 1 to 80 of the anime, right up to when Konoha is getting attacked during the 3rd round of the Chuunin exam.
Well, Broken Bond comes out soon (next week I believe) and covers the rest of the pre-filler manga stuff up to the Naruto-Sasuke fight; from episodes 81 to 135. IGN seems to really like it other than some boring fetch-quests, which is a bit of a problem in the first one too.

If you're a fan of the anime I suggest taking a look at these games. They really are nothing like the other Naruto games and are quite fun for the fans. They're not too long (about 12-15 hours for a complete run through with all side quests in the first one; second looks to be a bit longer) and the first one goes for under $20 now. I think this one is full price which is silly IMO. Should be $10 cheaper than a regular Xbox game considering what's in there. But if you like the first one, just wait 'til January or February for this one when it drops back down to where it should be. If it's anything like the first, it's well worth $30.

I was there on that fateful day, were you?
