  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

I don't really see buying a whole DS as an impulse buy unless I'm bored out of my mind at an airport and just can't take it anymore...Should I mention I haven't flown in like 15 years?
My guess is that they are trying to capture the bad-weather market. You know, people stranded in Denver for like 3-5 days due to 2' of snow. By then, Maxim, Stuff, and FHM are not enough.

Most may not buy the DS at the airport... but for those WITH DS's that find themselves on a 6 hour delay it would be VERY tempting to buy a new game to play while you wait-- ESPECIALLY if they're going to be non-inflated retail price like the article suggests.

I think this would be a very good idea assuming they keep a decent selection

It'll probably be just the big titles that appeal to the masses. Mario Kart, Brain Age, New Mario Bros, etc. You sure as heck ain't gonna find The World Ends With You in there.

Personally, I find it hard that a DS or PSP would be an impulse purchase. LIkely just purchased to shut the kid the fuck up :-)
