Whoah! That kind of blows my mind as I had two books of that when I was a kid, only the character's name is Wally instead of Waldo.

You had the English versions, then. They changed his name to Waldo when they brought him here.

These books were pretty popular when I was a kid and I'm happy they finally did a pretty solid job with the games (the NES one is considered one of the worst NES games ever). I had some disagreements with how they implemented stuff but they're still pretty solid hidden object games
