I completely missed this. Probably considering it was a few weeks after Muchael Jackson and I don't pay very close attention to the news.

He was one of the greatest voices of the 20th century (CBS anchor through the 60s, 70s, and early 80s), and had an enormous impact on world culture during his time. He had reported on many of the most important events of the 20th century western world. He held tremendous sway over the American population, that much was obvious with the impact of his CBS report after returning from Vietnam to announce that the war could not be won.
