I decided to go download patch 1.01 for Nobu 13 and it says I must sign up for a free account before I can download the patch. I don't think I've ever had something like that happen before. I know some games want you to register to ensure you're really a legitmate user but I think they still offer patches for anybody who wants one, and since the account is free I doubt this was done as an anti-piracy measure anyway. If they're like Civ 5 selling DLCs every 2 weeks for $5 I guess there might be a motive to know who you are so they can try to contact you for more stuff, but there's no DLCs here either.
The Japanese appears to be very backwards with their approach to anything online. Are they afraid some people will just download their patch and waste bandwidth for no reason?
