It's one thing to have crazy people who can make half court shots or whatever at high school, but when one of the character brings his coach who is a former WNBA star is where things get too crazy even for fiction.
There is no universe where the WNBA can be considered as a high form of basketball playing. I think WNBA at best can be compared to a pretty good college man's team, if even that. I actually watch it on TV a couple times and it sure looks like a decent college team can beat them, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt here.
I can imagine this legendary WNBA player will teach the main characters how to dunk since only like 5 people in the history of WNBA can dunk.
