The Other Worlds Shrine

Your place for discussion about RPGs, gaming, music, movies, anime, computers, sports, and any other stuff we care to talk about...

  • It is my goal..

  • Somehow, we still tolerate each other. Eventually this will be the only forum left.

.. To never let The Shrine ever fully die. In spite how much I have to bother Sine and Sereph via Facebook wall posts.

'Our sad little community will always be... unique.' We should replace the subtext of the header with that, IMO. :)

We definitely don't show Brendan and Shellie enough gratitude for keeping this together. They really, really don't have to. Thanks, guys!

I was 16, recently turned 31 =P

I think we're probably one of the very oldest communities around that hasn't really expanded in users from the beginning period. There are communities that are as old, but if you look at Gaming Age or Nintendojo nowadays, the membership is not composed primarily of the same people as it was in those early days. Same with games like Utopia, I go in, but the people I knew from 12 years ago are all gone or visit as rarely as I do (1-2 times a year - with a few rare exceptions).

I still find it amusing that the friend who introduced me to this place no longer posts. It would be hard to grow this community at this point. We're just one of those relics of the days of dialup and custom message boards.

It appears that Bovine don't get sad over much. He appears to be a very happy person....until he looks at the Marvel Pinball leaderboards, that is :-)

Sorry for how long it took to get Sine off his ass to get it fixed this time :) He did permanently fix the problem so it shouldn't happen again!! :D
