It introduces how they formed ID and how they ended up splitting over time. You also hear about other company's forming and how certain programmers like American McGee worked for ID and what happened with them.

A good read.</div>

<div style='font: 14pt "Sans Serif"; text-align: justify; padding: 0% 15% 0% 15%; '>Well it's not TOO suprising to hear of a socially inept nerd. :) But I'm suprised by some of their idiotic early business decisions (like using encrypted shareware early on, you'd think they'd know it could be broken easily) and their seemingly heartless way of excising members of the company...</div>
