<div style='font: 10pt Tahoma; text-align: left; '>Sony 34 inch widescreen. Its a CRT. I have a subscription to consumer reports and did a lot of independant research, too. Everything says that if you want the best picture possible you should still go with a tube TV. They say the plasmas and projections look fancy physically, but still dont compare to a tubes picture quality and viewing angle, plus there is no burn-in.

I went for the 34 inch because my living area is small, it still seems very big to me as i am used to a 20 inch, i cant imagine what something like a 60 inch would look like in my family room, even with the 34 i find myself having to look left and right to catch everything on the screen.

Since i got it at Circuit City (for $300 off MSRP :) i got a coupon for free HDTV from my cable provider for a year. I got that hooked up yesterday and boy oh boy does HDTV look nice. Its a shame that there arent more HD stations and programs that are in HD. I cant wait for the day when everything at anytime will be in HD.

DVD's look super sweet, too. That was the main reason i got a widescreen since i subscribe to Netflix and watch a lot of movies. Luckily when you are watching regular TV that is not in the 16:9 ratio there is a zoomstretch option that fills out the rest of the screen with very little distortion (ie, they dont look short and dumpy like just the stretch option does).

I'm dissappointed that the skins game on Sunday wont be broadcast in HD, ESPN does it for the 8:00 game and it is on Monday night, too, but not a regular game during the day... gay.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>I think LCD will win the war over plasma anyways</div>

<div style='font: 10pt Tahoma; text-align: left; '>LCD's are currently the most expensive, and they arent big yet either. The LCD projections are a good choice, too.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>I have a Samsung 27" HDTV. I absolutely love it, and it definately looks better than a lot of LCD TV's I've seen.</div>

<div style='font: 9pt ; text-align: left; '>By the way, are you absolutely sure that your daytime Sunday football broadcast won't be in HD? At least with my Comcast cable, I have HD channels of both CBS and Fox, and they show just about every daytime game in HD these days. I got my HD cable box before the season started, and I've never since had to watch a Pats game in 480i (well, I had to watch the first portion of last week's game in low-res because CBS' HD presentation took until halfway through the first quarter to actually broadcast in 16:9).

<div style='font: 10pt Tahoma; text-align: left; '>I didnt think it would be, there is a site called checkhd.com that tells you what will and will not be in HD. I assume this has nothing to do with my cable provider, but for all providers in general... I do have the HD equivilents for Fox, NBC, ABC, and CBS so if it is in HD i'll find out soon!</div>
