<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Games from the last year or so, there were a lot of good games from earlier too, but I'll just stick to the ones I played recently.
1) Conkers Bad Fur Day, you NEEEEED this game, if you like platformers at all, this is perhaps still the best to date. Also, if you like Action movies, like Terminator, Alien, a Clockwork Orange, Jaws, etc.. you'll be right at home with this game =)
Yes, even with Gamecube, Dreamcast, and PS2, I actually got in a 2 hour multiplayer game of this today.
2) Ogre Battle: Person of Lordly Calibur, another good title, the game has a Story that outdoes any other strategy RPG on the market at the moment, including FFT. The only problem is, I am 60 hours+ into the game and have been playing it for 10 months now, it's very long.
3) Banjo Tooie. I loved Banjo Kazooie, I think some Mario fans hated it, not sure, it's a fun as hell, and I assume Banjo Twoie is better considering the Graphics are a large step up and the Gameplay is likely refined.
4) Super Smash Brothers, addictive as hell, 1 player easily will give you 30-40 hours of gameplay you won't tire of.
5) Perfect Dark, this game probably makes the best use of the graphics (except for maybe Banjo Twoie). I don't know if you heard of N64's "Bottleneck" problem, where due to the amount of RAM and other aspects, the processor power could not be fully exploited, if Nintendo had gone CD's and 12-16 Megs of RAM, with a processor 3 times as powerful as the competition, blah blah blah.... Anyways, Perfect Dark was the first game to get around these problems to an extent.
Zelda Majora's Mask, perhaps the most compelling gameplay on the system, it lacks the atmospherical setting of the first game I found.
There's a new Bomberman game coming out for N64, other than that, that's about it. SNES was still going until 1998, even though games were slim. Some of them were the best titles on the system for their respective genre's. To name a few: Kirby Superstar (beats the hell out of any 2D platformers, including DKC), Harvest Moon, and Terrangima (Illusion of Time).
Hope I could have been a bit of help. Oh yeah, they finished that Expansion for Zelda Ocarina of Time, but I don't know if it will ever be released.</div>
