  • I picked up Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

Well, I just got it, and I haven't played it much. The graphical style is similar to the Aria of Sorrow, only a lot better, and the animations are incredible. Graphics and animations are easily the best that has been seen in the 2D series. The music is also quite stunning, in combinations with the graphics, it takes me away to that very magical place that I remembered being when I played Castlevania I and III, and Faxanadu when I was a child. It is a nice feeling.

So far I haven't really seen much in terms of touch screen functionality. The seal drawing thing is already known; but right now it is mainly the dual screen feature that is mst widely used; it's used as the status/map screen and keeps the main screen clear.

I'm going to play some more and finish it before I write any more. At this point in time this is easily my favourite handheld game, EVER (well, I can see myself saying that down the road). There has never been anything like it before on a handheld system. This is a work of art. I didn't think Konami had it in them to create a game like this. This game is special.

I thought that was an XBox game. Isn't there a Castlevania XBox game coming out?

No. Casltevania: Dawn of Sorrow is the latest Castlevania game for the DS. Curse of Darkness is being released on Xbox, a port of the upcoming PS2 game Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, is probably what you were thinking of.

I just finished the game as Soma, quite a badass game. Am working on the Julius game now. You can actually switch between Julius and Yoko and it has been quite a fun experience so far. This game has just been awesome. I cant put it down ^_^

This is definitely my favourite Castlevania game since they adopted the Metroid formula. I have been spending too much time playing videogames lately =P

I found Julius mode to be quite easy, the only boss that gave me any trouble was that bastard fuck with the locousts. It took me forever to figure out to just use Alucard and teleport.

Actually I used Julius and used the huge cross special whenever the locusts showed up.
