Manshoon visits Colorado

Met and hung out with a tOWS member in real life, finally, this past weekend when Shoon asked to come visit Boulder for Memorial Day. The girlfriend and I were more than happy to accommodate with our 2 bedroom place we are renting and so it was set up. Manshoon and I have a pretty decent off-forum gaming history of jamming tons of 2v2 Starcraft games together, so it was nice to finally put a person to the handle that goes beyond simple headset chatting.

He got into town on Friday and we didnt have too much time to do anything besides stop by a pot store and grab dinner before heading off to a house party at one of my coworkers. On Saturday, though, I dragged him through the Boulder Farmer's Market to pick up some food to cook for Sunday, then we played frisbee golf and went out to eat again. On Sunday we went to Chautauqua Park to walk around and get the best view of the Flatiron mountain range, then took the Coors Brewery tour in the town of Golden, CO before grilling at home and hanging out for the rest of the night. Monday, we spent a little time at the Boulder Creek festival the town was putting on for the holiday, but then it was already time to drop him off at the airport.

All in all i think it was a successful visit and I had a lot of fun. Luckily the weather was nice for most of it. If anyone wants to head out to Boulder, dont hesitate to let me know! Hope everyone else's Memorial Day weekends was nice.

I met Chris at Comic Con back in 2007, and Zeus met my wife two years ago while she was working Comic Con (even though she's never posted here)

Of course I knew Ganath and Caddypunk when they used to be here.

Gray/Arioc and I met up with Sine and Shellie when they came to Toronto. Gray took them to the CN Tower while I went to my "congrats, you're a CPA" party at work :-)
