As I noted - homelessness is a rising crisis across America and Canada. 20-25% rises in many places. Homeless people are dying on the streets.

If Kali really is who he claims -and it's always possible; especially since, like most corrupt police or military-industrial personnel, or powerful corporate heads, he gets very quiet when someone asks him who he really is - we are in several wars, Americans and Canadians are dying all over, and what are "our protectors" doing?

It speaks volumes that I can post about how many new homeless there are, or about real estate frauds, "renovicton" scams and scandals and what they really mean - and people here are like "Ho hum, hey can you get me a place in Rhodes or Athens after those Greeks are evicted?" I did have an odd feeling when I handed this place to Brendan that it was a mistake. I knew when I saw our still-unnamed "friend" here start going for broke to lie about me that I had made a worse one.

Indeed, though I was still too inexperienced to recognize the signs back in '07 or so - when Kali was made moderator, I had a very odd feeling, like "The Shrine just got Training Day'ed". I have known people like Kali before, contrary to what he claims - met some very unhappy corrupt military personnel, police, things of that sort - thankfully all in passing.

On the surface - projecting an image of happiness, contentment, wealth - behind the scenes, usually very unhappy, living in a combination of fear and anger perpetually which is hidden under the happy veneer, often troubled about racial issues and social issues, waging the kind of economic and barely ethical class war being seen here - and dealing with profound abuse issues from chidlhood.

So for once I will say it like this - if you really are like those kinds of people I have met, Kali - God send that you get better.

There is no money in the world that can alleviate the kinds of unhappiness I have seen in people who claim to operate at the power level you do and take the kinds of actions you take.

When the euphoria from this latest deal wears off; you will be unhappier than ever. You are a predator on the weak; a scavenger on the unfortunate; and you hide behind a series of masks. No human I have ever met who has done these things is truly happy.

Again - and this seems to be a point you don't really understand - everyone has Fourth Amendment rights. In fact if you took any pictures of me outside of a public place, or had any of my papers online or off searched, or invaded my home, or my possessions ("effects" in the original wording), you are Constitutionally out of line there. Californian law - which you would have been subject to in the process of gathering information there - is pretty stringent about civil rights violations compared to other states.

I have had several friends in the world you claim to be living in - and as you can see, I wasn't exactly born outside of the world of power myself entirely, though I find I much prefer to live outside of it.

I do wish that you had been willing to admit to it sooner, and not denied it in the process of earlier discussions when asked. I am far more willing to put up with abrasive personalities when I know that it may be due to stress or other things you can't talk about due to your own work.

A few more thoughts:

Despite what you may believe, I have no interest at all in buying real estate from you, nor does being excluded from your "deal" bother me in the least. I have no desire to profit from evictions. Everything I said earlier about the way it causes an epidemic of homelessness still applies.

There are only a few kinds of people that I have generally encountered who talk like you do:

If you are simply a financier of any stripe - working for Goldman Sachs or something, and you are into "renovictions" and profiteering off real estate - everything I said earlier about you still applies too. A pure banker or realtor with no security needs profiteering from evictions and causing homelessness is nobody to respect or reverence. And you're not that scary if so.

If you are working for CSIS or an analogue; then I will not presume to know what your issues are. And that complicates things; military/defense personnel have needs to own homes across the world that others do not. In that case, I will not presume to judge.

If you are police - the same. Once again, security has needs that may make the rough edges of your personality more explainable.

But there is one other group I have encountered that talks the way you do; and if you are working for the mob, in any way, shape, or form - then you may rest assured that you do not impress or scare me, nor are you a success. Being a mobster is easy; it is lazy; and it is not going to bring respect, nor even fear from brave people.
