Recently I've been following some Korean soap opera that's surprisingly good but now there's some kidnapping scene now which seems to be trying to top all the cliches. Here's what I learned about kidnapping:
1. If someone asks you to get on another car and leave all your bodyguards behind, you should totally do that.
2. Make sure you ask what's going on when you're surrounded by 10 armed thugs and a guy whose career you ruined in the past.
3. Don't call the police if someone gets kidnapped because it's more efficient for a guy to drive around aimlessly to find the bad guy's hideout.
4. If you're kidnapped try to headbutt, scratch, claw, or stab your way out of it. Don't worry about minor details like you're mostly tied up against 10 armed thugs.
5. Make sure to intimidate your kidnappers like "Do you know who I am?" or "Let me go now and you may live!"
6. Apply your movie/manga knowledge and leave behind cryptic clues because your kidnappers will randomly agree to every odd request you have. Double your cool points if you leave behind a message in Morse code.
