How not to react when your child tells you that he's gay

I can never imagine how heart breaking this would be to go through. I have a lot of gay friends, and the wife and I actually bowl in a gay league that our friends invited us to. I'm sure some of them have gone through similar situations
Yeah I saw that on Reddit last night... I stopped watching somewhere after the mother said "science doesn't matter because I listen to the word of gawd."
You can't force people to not be ignorant, even if they are your parents. Unfortunately, way too many people out there think like her

The word of God incarnate is Jesus, and the main message delivered in the Gospels is to be loving, forgiving, and not to judge people. The only people Jesus ever seemed to get mad at were sanctimonious religious people who judged others in the name of their scripture.
