This, to me, is one of the most fantastic stories I have heard in a long time. The country, so far, in 2015 has been run completely on geo-thermal, hydro-electric, and wind power so far this year.

That's fantastic. I'd love to visit there some day.

Hydroelectric is the most dependable source of renewal energy, it's always on. Until better energy storage is developed, other forms of renewables will always require fossil fuel back ups.

Iceland also gets virtually all of its energy from renewables. It's blessed with lots of hydro and geothermal natural resources.

America could easily do it by 2025 IF we were committed...but the Rockefellers, who still run Exxon, back both the Bush and Clinton families and have a standing order that America is too profitable to be allowed to be moved off oil.
