Predatory Remodeling/Renovictions

"Home buyers face exploitation from house flippers when the Seller intentionally hides code violations and shoddy work behind finished walls. To maximize profit, the Seller may also neglect to get building permits, hire unlicensed contractors, side-step disclosures in purchase paperwork, and utilize tax loopholes. This type of real estate fraud has been dubbed "predatory remodeling", and leaves the unsuspecting buyer responsible for repairs. In extreme cases, the revealed code violations can draw the attention of city building inspectors who have the authority to condemn unsafe properties and evict the new homeowners."

What do people think about realtors who perform illegal or unethical evictions and then sell moneypit/code-violation houses at a usurious markup? What can the world do about this pressing issue? :)

In the most extreme cases, realtors literally "renovict" illegally, putting minority tenants or tenants with disabilities out in the streets - "finish" the new home behind an expensive-looking but cheap veneer - hide deathtrap piping and wiring behind the walls at lowest-bidder costs - sell the home to a new, unsuspecting tenant - then the city bankrupts the new tenant via code violations which are the builder's fault as the real estate company hides behind lawyers and waits for the property to become available again.

I really don't know how some people guilty of these kinds of abuses against humanity sleep at night.
