Saw this article in some random places that deals with sports:

Now I'm not going to say that by purposely losing the match the guy disrespected his opponent, but what I don't get is how everyone is reporting like this guy throwing a match did some kind of honorable deed. It wasn't even a real game and I think even guys who think WWE is real wouldn't be fooled into thinking the wrestling champ actually lost. From what I can tell his opponent isn't so mentally incapable that he couldn't tell the wrestling champ was throwing the match, so this whole thing seems like a publicity stunt on both participants.

Don..."Pro wrestling" is an entire culture so mentally incapable that it doesn't give a damn that every single thing about it is fixed.

Wrestlers purposely lose all the time. They're told to. If you are in the WWE and you don't throw a match when Vince McMahon asks you to, your career is over. And that is because in the modern era of 250-500lb. human beings, humans literally can't wrestle at the highest level without KILLING each other. If wrestling were real and dropped kayfabe, Andre the Giant would have crippled or killed Hulk Hogan circa 1984 or so, and Big Show would be the WWE champion today after killing half his own opponents.

I don't know what you're expecting from this culture. If it's honesty, prepare to be disappointed. Wrestling is kabuki theatre with giant men. It can't be anything else without killing half its participants.

This isn't pro wrestling. It's recreational. A guy threw a match on purpose because his opponent is mentally handicapped and apparently he's some kind of great hero for losing on purpose. I don't know if it'd be any better if he just totally smashed the guy who had no chance of beating him, though then again I don't think you're supposed to play guys who have no chance of beating you and then pretend it's an honorable thing to do.
