The Other Worlds Shrine

Your place for discussion about RPGs, gaming, music, movies, anime, computers, sports, and any other stuff we care to talk about...

 • It's sad that I actually have to justify my actions every fucking time, but since certain people feel the need to pout every time their message is deleted, I'll do it...

 • Somehow, we still tolerate each other. Eventually this will be the only forum left.

Here is a log of all of the quotes I deleted from Music and Movies. Normally, I don't mind when people put up quotes. Usually it there so that people can guess what song or movie it's from and stem a conversation from that. I put up one myself recently. However, it got out of hand when everybody started posting quotes just because everybody else did. (God knows you bugged the hell out of me for your bottom message on the forum bit, a while back.)

That's when it stops being good clean fun and starts becoming spam. Shit, most of them were either extremely easy to guess or actually had the person on the quote. So, I know it wasn't so that somebody would guess or get a response out of them. In any case, I deleted them, including my own.

This is when GMJ starts his usual shit, and reposts the message of his. Then he starts pouting how he can't post quotes any more, including his wonderfully obvious quote from Indiana Jones. Which again, I deleted.

Now, let me get one thing clear: if I delete a message, DON'T FUCKING REPOST IT!!! It had been deleted for a reason. You can ask why, either publically or privately, but don't play games with the admin, okay? This especially goes for GMJ. This is your final warning. If I delete a message, it stays deleted. Understand?

Now, G-Man Joe, if you want to discuss the matter, you can either talk to me personally (my IMs are in my bio), or discuss it here. You're not going to declare some "official" rule on M&M just because you're pissed that your message got deleted. People like you just make my job harder, and it was the exact reason why you were banned the last time.

They needed deleting, that much was obvious. It was a little fun that got carried away; I think it was compeltely justified to be deleted, it was just getting silly.

All in all, you're just doing your job, there's no reason why you should have to explain yourself in deleting spam because none of those posts really had any value to anyone.
